Traffic changes on Anzac Parade between Barker and Rainbow Streets

What is happening?

From 10pm on Friday 2 June to 10pm on Friday 14 July, the light rail work site will move to the median of Anzac Parade between Barker Street and Rainbow Street, Kingsford. 

How will this affect you?

  • Traffic on Anzac Parade southbound will not be able to turn right into Strachan Street and Borrodale Road.
  • Traffic on Anzac Parade northbound will not be able to turn right into Middle Street.
  • Traffic on Anzac Parade will be able to turn left in/out of Strachan Street, Borrodale Road and Middle Street.
  • Traffic on Strachan Street and Middle Street will be able to make east/west through movements and right turns onto Anzac Parade.

The pedestrian crossings on Anzac Parade at Meeks Street and Borrodale Road will be reopened as part of this traffic switch.

Anzac Parade will remain open during all work and where possible two traffic lanes will be maintained in both directions.  Construction speed limits may apply.  

Where required, traffic management will be in place to assist motorists, pedestrians and cyclists to move safely around the work. Local access and emergency services access will be maintained.
