Temporary footpath closure on Anzac Parade

Posted 26 July 2017

Light Rail work will take place on the footpath on the western side of Anzac Parade, between Doncaster Avenue and High Street, from Monday 24 July to Tuesday 29 August.

The work, which includes installation of storm water pipes and pavement construction, will require a temporary closure of the footpath for approximately 6 weeks.

Pedestrians will be required to use the signalised pedestrian crossings at Doncaster Avenue and High Street to continue their journey along the eastern side of Anzac Parade.

This work will be carried out during standard construction hours, Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm, and Saturday 8am to 5pm, with the exception of:

  • Monday 31 July
  • Tuesday 1 August
when out of hours work is scheduled to take place between 10pm and 5am. During these times the Doncaster Avenue northern and southern pedestrian crossings will be closed alternately.  Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite side of the street to cross Anzac Parade.

Please pay attention to signage and follow instructions from traffic controllers, who will be on site to direct pedestrians safely around the operations.

ALTRAC Light Rail apologises for the inconvenience.
