Night Works near UNSW from 20 April

Details of works activities 

Anzac Pde, between Barker and Rainbow sts, Thursday 20 April to Saturday 20 May 2017, 6pm to 6am and 8am to 5pm on Sundays

Out of hours work may continue up to 8am on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Activities include street lighting relocation work, civil work (excavation, asphalting), drainage work, geotechnical investigations (potholing and surveying), utility relocations, underground conduit installation, vegetation work (protecting trees, trimming branches, mulching and possible tree or shrub removal), heritage investigations, track work (concrete pouring, rail delivery and installation, welding, saw cutting and surface finishing), removal and reinstatement of kerb, footpath, traffic islands and line-marking, and setting up traffic controls, signals and signage (approximately 20 nights).

Sewage and water main work will also take place at the Anzac Parade intersections of Meeks Street, Middle Street and Nine Ways roundabout.

You may experience some noise and vibraion during this work. Where possible, high noise activities such as saw cutting and jackhammering will not take place for more than two consecutive nights (weather and traffic permitting). Respite periods will be in place to mitigate impacts to residents during noisy activity.

Equipment and vehicles for this work may include radar detection and survey equipment, concrete trucks and pumps, flood lights, vacuum excavation trucks, coring and drilling machines, excavators (including hammer attachment), cranes, saw cutters, corers, road griners, tipper trucks, hand tools, water carts, milling machines, rollers, jack hammers, plate compactors, paving machines, bobccats and traffic control vehicles.

Anzac Pde, between Todman Ave and High Street, Thursday 20 April to Saturday 20 May 2017, 8pm to 6am and 8am to 5pm on Sundays. 

Out of hours work may continue up to 8am on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Activities include civil work (excavation, kerb widening), drainage work, geotechnical investigations (potholing and surveying), vegetation work, utility relocations, restoration works, track work (includes rail preparation work, concrete pouring, rail delivery and installation, surveying, welding, saw cutting and surface finishing), heritage work, excavation, compaction of excavation, cable installation, cable connection to substation, operation of lighting towers, removal/installation of light posts, road pavement work, barrier installation, traffic control, traffic signals and signage. This work will take approximately 20 nights within the notified period.
