Day Time testing will commence in Kensington and Kingsford from Monday 4 November 2019, ALTRAC light rail have advised.

Initial day time testing of trams will take place between Mondays and Fridays outside of peak traffic times, between 10am and 3pm. This period will extend over the coming weeks.

During initial day time testing:
 The testing zone will be along the light rail tracks extending from the the Dacey Avenue, Alison Road and Anzac Parade intersection to the Kingsford terminus.
 Trams speeds will be walking pace to start with and will increase over time.
 Trams, pedestrians and traffic will be supported by traffic controllers to facilitate this new change.
 Night time tram testing will continue in Kensington and Kingsford alongside day time testing.
 Construction activities will continue at night and on weekends where required. Please refer to construction notifications for further information on out of hours work occurring in each zone.

Please note that light rail systems are now energised in this area and hazard zones are now in place three metres from the light rail tracks.
